Middleham Open Day set to raise funds for Hill House Appeal

This year’s ARC Middleham Open Day will help to raise funds for Racing Welfare’s Hill House Appeal, with the completed project set to provide accommodation for young people starting out in their careers within the local racing community.

The site of the current Hill House in Middleham has been purchased by Racing Welfare in a bid to help to address the need for quality, affordable housing for young racing staff in the area.  The Hill House Appeal will be launched association with the Jessica Bethell Charitable Foundation during the week in April that also features the ARC-sponsored Middleham Open Day.  The appeal will seek to raise the £2million required to complete the project.  Subject to planning consent and building and fire regulations approval, the development will incorporate 12 units of accommodation for young people aged 16-24 years old, in addition to offices for the charity’s regional welfare team, a gym and community space.
