Racing Welfare is delighted to announce that William Hill are to sponsor the Racing Staff Boxing Night – to be held at Goffs’ Doncaster Sales Complex on Saturday 17th March 2018.
The William Hill Racing Staff Boxing Night will be organised by, and raise funds for, Racing Welfare. Derby based Ultra White Collar Boxing will manage the life-changing 8-week training programme that participants will be required to undertake, applying strict medical and safety regulations throughout the process and on the night itself.
Training will commence on the 22nd January – perfect to fulfil New Year’s resolutions to get fit and trim and undertake an exciting new challenge. The competition, which will see fairly matched participants box three x two minute bouts on the night, is open to men and women who work in all areas of the racing industry – including stable and stud staff, stalls handlers, racecourse staff as well as jockeys and trainers.
Because training will take place at gyms in York and Ripon, the event is aimed at racing staff who work in Yorkshire and the North of England, but if this event is a great success, Racing Welfare plan to organise another event in the South.
