Racing Staff Week 2021 is Here

Today (Saturday 16^th October) sees the launch of Racing Staff Week at Ascot’s Champions Day meeting. Now in its fifth year, Racing Staff Week recognises the contribution of the industry’s entire workforce, from stud and stable staff to breeders, racecourse staff and administrators and everything in between and is once again generously supported by Betfair.

Racing Welfare, who are the driving force behind Racing Staff Week, aim for the week to bring the racing industry and its followers together to showcase the passion, skill and dedication of all the staff across the breadth of the industry, whose hard work makes our great sport possible.

Stable staff jockeys shine on Betfair Friday

Representing the highlight of Racing Staff Week, yesterday, Friday 5^th July, saw two races exclusively for stable staff held at Doncaster and Newton Abbot respectively. The events marked the penultimate day of Racing Staff Week, which seeks to celebrate all of racing’s workforce, running from 29^th June to 6^th July.

Racing Staff Week Charity Race Riders take to the track

This year will see the fifth renewal of the Betfair Clock Tower Cup, running over seven furlongs at Doncaster Racecourse on Friday 5^th July. As in previous years, the race has attracted a maximum entry of 12 stable staff riders, all of whom have been nominated to ride by their respective trainers.
