Ultimate Grand National Package amongst the lots to the Great Racing Welfare Auction
Some incredible new items and experiences have been added to The Great Racing Welfare Auction to take the total number of fantastic lots on offer to over 100. The auction is being hosted virtually with all proceeds going towards the charity’s Covid-19 Emergency Appeal. Bidding is open until 8pm on Thursday 24th September and the total raised has already exceeded the £20,000 mark.
We are thrilled to be adding these fantastic new lots to the Great Racing Welfare Auction, they really are money can’t buy experiences. We have been blown away by both the generosity of those making donations and by the response to the lots that are already online. There is a brilliant range on offer for all budgets and I would encourage everyone to take a look and to get bidding.

One of the standout new lots on offer is the Ultimate Aintree Grand National package. The package includes the chance for two people to attend the invite-only Grand National Weights Lunch in February, a course walk with Carrie Ford and a day at the races on Grand National Day with a place for two at the Chairman’s Lunch. This incredible experience is rounded off by a zoom call with former BHA Head of Handicapping Phil Smith who will take you through the process of handicapping the world’s most famous race.
Other fantastic lots up for grabs include a ‘money can’t buy’ opportunity for four people to enjoy a tour of the world famous Coolmore Stud and Ballydoyle training operation, followed by lunch at Mikey Ryan’s Bar & Grill in Cashel. The full line up of lots has something for everyone, from a round of golf at Sunningdale with AP McCoy, to stable tours, mornings on the gallops, holidays and even the chance to bid for a homemade cake every month for three months.
