Racing Welfare exists to help anyone who works in the British horseracing and breeding industry who is looking for support, regardless of their occupation.
Fortunately, not everyone will need our help, but volunteering enables us to deliver support throughout the UK and make a real difference to people’s lives. Volunteers like you are vital in helping us achieve this, either through work directly in support of beneficiaries or through raising the funds needed to continue to provide the services that we offer. We very much welcome new volunteers in all sorts of roles to help us carry on providing support to those who need us. We would be delighted if you would like to join our Volunteer Programme.
Our Current Opportunities
This page will be kept up to date with our latest volunteering opportunities.
Check-in and Chat
Our Check-in and Chat service provides a weekly phone call to someone who may be feeling lonely, isolated or just looking for a regular chat with one of our friendly volunteers.
This is a regular volunteering opportunity that requires a weekly commitment of approximately 1.5 hours, as well as initial checks and training. We recruit for this role on an ongoing basis in line with the demand for calls. Get in touch today for more information.
