Woebot is a mental health app which Racing Welfare has made available to users since 2020 as part of our mental health support services.
Unfortunately, we have been informed that Woebot will no longer be providing the app to users in the UK and therefore Woebot will not be available from 24th April. We understand that for those who use Woebot this may be distressing. However, we would like to reiterate that mental health support from Racing Welfare is available through our dedicated support line where you can speak to trained counsellors 24/7.
In addition, we have recently launched the new Racing Welfare app where you can access a range of information, advice and guidance at any time, as well as the opportunity to speak to a trained counsellor via an online web chat.
How will users be informed?
If you currently use Woebot, you will receive two to the email address you provided during the sign-up process in the app. The first email will be sent today (5th April), and the second (a reminder message) will be sent on 19th April.
The email will let you know that your access to the app will be ending on 24th April 2023. You will be given the opportunity to download a transcript of your side of your conversations with Woebot and to continue using the app until that date. Following best practices regarding privacy and data handling, all user data will be deleted on 1st May.
If you have any concerns please call the support line on 0800 6300 443.
