Gayle is a Fine Art artist living and working in the Racing heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Her inspiration is driven by a love and admiration of classical art and painting. Working predominately in oils, she has found a medium with which to capture the beauty and the richness of the world and especially that of horses. While Gayle’s love of horseracing takes up most of the stock of her studio work she does paint in other genres, from portraiture and landscapes, through to historical scenes.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) is a rapid response charity providing a life-saving emergency service 365 days a year to approximately 5 million people across the 4 million acres of Yorkshire. During the last financial year (1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020), the YAA responded to 1,523 incidents and treated 1,149 patients across Yorkshire, 34 of which were equestrian incidents. Like many charities across the UK, at the beginning of 2020 the YAA was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and sadly, after the cancellation of many spring and summer events, the charity estimates that they have lost around £420,000 in donations. It costs £12,000 a day to keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances maintained and in the air and the support they receive truly is the life-blood of their charity.
To find out more about the YAA or to make a donation please visit: www.yaa.org.uk or text YAANORTH to 70470 to donate £3.
