We would like to say a big thank you to Hambleton Racing who have raised an incredible £1,800 for our Covid-19 Emergency Appeal since announcing Racing Welfare as their official charity partner at the beginning of June.
The funds have been raised through Hambleton Racing’s innovative cash for runners scheme which saw Racing Welfare receive £50 for every Hambleton runner in June, an amount that was doubled for every winner.
In a busy month of action for the syndicate no less than 31 horses ran and five winners were recorded, meaning a total of £1,800 was raised.
Commenting on the partnership Racing Welfare Chief Executive, Dawn Goodfellow said:
“We are delighted Hambleton Racing has chosen Racing Welfare as their official charity partner and thank them for their support of our Covid-19 Emergency Appeal with their cash for runners scheme. In such challenging times, we are incredibly grateful for this support. It has been great to see them enjoy such a busy and successful month.”
Amongst the recent winners was Kevin Ryan’s Tinochio. The son of Buratino broke his maiden impressively at Hamilton last week in a good time. He’s due to line up next at Newbury in the valuable Super Sprint, a race his owners are understandably looking forward to.
Confirming plans for Newbury Charlton added “Tinochio is a horse Kevin likes a lot. He clocked a good time at Hamilton and is capable of going well in the Super Sprint.”
