Racegoers Club members raise £1,575 for Racing Welfare in 2020

We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Racegoers Club members who raised £1,575 for Racing Welfare in 2020.

As the Club’s official charity partner, all charitable donations and fundraising efforts by the Club and its members are shared with Racing Welfare in recognition of the outstanding work of the charity which has been busier than ever during the Covid-19 pandemic.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Racegoers Club members who donated an incredible £1,575 to Racing Welfare in 2020. Every penny we received made it possible for us to deliver our vital services when they were needed the most and the whole team at Racing Welfare have been truly humbled by your support.

Dawn Goodfellow, Chief Executive of Racing Welfare

The money was raised by members generously forgoing returns from the Club’s two Ownership Groups run in 2020 and from voluntary donations included in their membership renewals. Members also contributed directly to Racing Welfare by joining their virtual events, including their Jumps Season Preview Night in November.

Looking forward, Racegoers Club will continue to work with Racing Welfare to raise funds and awareness to support their vital services.

Caroline Davies, Chair of Racegoers Club, said:

I am incredibly proud to have Racing Welfare as the Club’s official charity partner. Racegoers Club members have always been generous in their support of Racing Welfare, and I was delighted to see this support continued, even during a particularly challenging year. The work that Racing Welfare does is essential to the entire industry, and Racegoers Club looks forward to continuing to champion this in the future.
