I joined Racing Welfare in the new position of Philanthropy Manager in January 2023. Previously, I spent 25 years at Ascot – mainly as Head of Sponsorship/Partnerships – being responsible for the creation and maintaining of relationships with all levels of these key supporters. I enjoy getting to know people and feel that everyone has a story to tell. There will be quite a lot of synergy between my time at Ascot and the Racing Welfare position as both involve the allocation of financial support in return for a set of rights – either commercial or charitable. I am looking forward to working within a charity for the first time and hoping that my knowledge of the people within the racing industry will provide some good opportunities for recruiting supporters to help all those working in racing.
As well as working for Racing Welfare I also host Winning Connections at Newbury which is fun and sits well with my Racing Welfare position.
We are able to operate through the generosity and support of those who care
about the people who work to make our day at the races possible.
