I joined Racing Welfare in May 2019 as Programme Manager for the Workforce Wellbeing Programme. I am responsible for the delivery and development of this programme which consists of Racing’s Support Line, Racing’s Occupational Health Service, the Careers Advice and Training Service and Mental Health Services.
I am passionate about horse racing, in particular National Hunt and have been an avid fan since I was 7 years old. Upon leaving school I started my career by working in racing and then competition yards for 4 years before joining the British Army, where I was fortunate enough to spend a number of years travelling the world. Upon leaving the military I have spent several years contracting for a number of different organisations, both private and public sector and I have been responsible for delivering a number of large and high profile programmes for clients. I am qualified in both project and programme management and have an MBA.
It is very important to me that Racing’s workforce gets the wellbeing support and services that it requires and I am very proud to work for Racing Welfare doing a job that allows me to combine what I do professionally with an industry and sport that I love.
