I joined Racing Welfare in October 2021 as a Welfare Officer based at the Racing Centre in Newmarket.
I have been involved in the racing industry all my life through my family with both my father and Uncle being jockeys and spending the last 25 years assisting my partner in the training of racehorses. I am hoping that as I understand the physical and mental demands of the jobs in this industry, I will be able to reach out to people to let them know about all the fantastic services that are available to them through Racing Welfare as having worked in the industry for so long there are so many services available to people through Racing Welfare that I wasn’t aware of.
I look forward to meeting as many people as possible and being there to help the often-forgotten people who work or have worked so tirelessly to keep the wheels of the racing industry turning.
We are able to operate through the generosity and support of those who care
about the people who work to make our day at the races possible.
