I joined Racing Welfare in April 2019 as a Fundraising Executive, focusing on community fundraising activities, donations and supporting the team with event delivery. As of March 2021, I am the Volunteer Coordinator; working to develop and implement a volunteering strategy including the recruitment and management of our fantastic team of volunteers.
From birth until I was 19 I lived on a working stud farm just outside of Newmarket where my mum was stud manager. Some of my fondest memories are helping her to foal down mares and watching the foals take their first steps. From an early age I understand the hard work, dedication and love that staff in the thoroughbred industry put in every single day. It was a natural step for me after completing my law degree to move home and find a way to help support those who share my devotion to these beautiful animals.
I am very excited to continue to involve volunteers in our work and would be delighted to chat with anyone interested in joining us.
