Chief Operating Officer
I joined Racing Welfare as Chief Operating Office in November 2018 and have overall responsibility on all matters relating to financial compliance and control. The management of the charity’s governance and operations functions also sit within the remit of my role.
I am a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and have been working as a self-employed finance and marketing consultant since 2014. During this time, my consultancy assignments included interim Finance Director for the National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket and interim Regional Head of Marketing for Jockey Club Racecourses’ Eastern Region. Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 2003, I began my career with a 10 year term at accountancy firm Baker Tilly, during which time I was based in both the UK and San Francisco. I then moved on to enjoy a seven year run as Finance Director at the British Racing School in Newmarket.
We have a great team at Racing Welfare and the future is very exciting for the charity. I am passionate about racing and all of its people I look forward playing a key role in the development and deliverance of our strategic objectives going forwards. It is important we grow and evolve our services for the good of everyone living and working in racing and I am proud to be a part of this.
