After graduating, I went to racing school to pursue a career within the horseracing industry. During my time working as a stable lad, I was very lucky to look after some top class horses and had some great days out at Cheltenham and Aintree.
In 2016 I decided to develop my career within the industry and applied for a place on the BHA graduate development programme. After being placed at Weatherbys and exploring all of the administration based services they offer to the industry, I joined Racing Welfare as a Welfare Officer.
Experiencing first-hand the demands of the various roles within the industry gave me the incentive to want to support the people working at the heart of it. I believe everyone involved in the sport, viewer or contributor, should understand the hours of hard work and passion that goes into producing horseracing. By supporting the people that work the various roles within the industry, it allows me to give something back to the sport that I get so much out of.
