Some of the ways we can support you

Welcome to Racing Welfare

Racing Welfare leads the provision of human welfare services for people working in racing, from their recruitment right through to retirement and beyond. We provide professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable and racecourse staff, and those in a broad range of associated roles whose dedication is vital to the wellbeing of racing. Our work aims to help racing’s people to thrive in day-to-day life and through a range of life’s challenges.

Racing Welfare’s services are nationally accessible with offices in the main racing centres (Newmarket, Lambourn, Middleham, Malton and Epsom) and roving Welfare Officers covering the whole of the country. Racing’s Support Line, our multi-channel helpline is available 24 hours a day and you can get advice through our online support pages.

The people behind Racing Welfare

Everyone at Racing Welfare including our team of staff members, trustees and our ambassadors is passionate about the British horseracing and breeding industries. Many of our members of staff come from a strong horseracing background having had previous experience working on racing yards, studs and racecourses. Our Board of Trustees are also key racing supporters with many being involved as owners, breeders or amateur jockeys.
