Racing Welfare Announce Qatar Goodwood Festival Virtual Preview Evening

Following hot on the heels of the inaugural Royal Ascot Preview Evening, Racing Welfare is delighted to announce a Qatar Goodwood Festival Preview Evening. The event, which is being held in association with Sporting Life, will be broadcast live on the internet on Thursday 23rd July at 7.30pm.

The evening will be hosted by Racing TV’s Nick Luck and features a stellar panel including Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy, Guineas winning trainer Andrew Balding, former Channel 4 Racing pundit Tanya Stevenson and leading Sporting Life journalist Matt Brocklebank.  Michael Shinners, Sky Bet/Sporting Life Head of Sports PR, will also be on hand to give an up-to-date guide to the market.

The Qatar Goodwood Festival promises to be a racing extravaganza, with five days of top-class action getting underway on Tuesday 28th July.  The usual mix of outstanding Group action, competitive handicaps and fascinating two-year old match ups means it really will be unmissable.

Tickets for Racing Welfare’s preview evening event are now available to purchase and cost just £10.  Everyone who buys a ticket will automatically be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win four Richmond enclosure tickets for a day of their choosing at Glorious Goodwood 2021, courtesy of Goodwood Racecourse.  All ticket revenue will go straight to Racing Welfare.  Ticket holders will also receive a digital brochure in advance of the evening as well as a guide to the event.

Sky Bet/Sporting Life Head of Sports PR, Michael Shinners, commented said: “Sporting Life is delighted to be supporting Racing Welfare’s Goodwood Festival Preview Evening.  The Royal Ascot event was a huge success and with such a great line up on the panel we are sure this one will be equally entertaining.  We are once again giving each panellist a £100 charity bet, with all profits going to Racing Welfare.  I’m looking forward to hearing their selections!”

Racing Welfare’s Chief Executive, Dawn Goodfellow, welcomed the continuation of the partnership saying: “The Royal Ascot Preview Evening was a fabulous event and it is fantastic that Sporting Life have so generously partnered with us again.  Our brilliant guest panellists make the preview evenings so engaging and I would like to thank them for donating their time and expertise.  I would encourage everyone to get a ticket and join us on the 23rd July, not only will be supporting Racing Welfare but you will also have a very enjoyable evening and maybe even find a winner or two.”
