CATS – the racing industry’s Careers Advice & Training Service, managed by Racing Welfare – has launched a bespoke Personal Development Plan to help those working in the industry map out their careers and track their own professional development.
A first for the racing industry, the Personal Development Plan (PDP) offers those working in racing a means of reflecting on the skills and experience they already possess, whilst honing in on what they need to do to achieve their career goals. The document also offers a ready-made resource for trainers and other employers to manage their staff development and explore training options to upskill employees.
The PDP has been designed for anyone who works in the thoroughbred racing and breeding industries. It can be used independently as a self-help tool or within a PDP coaching session, which will be undertaken by a trained CATS advisor. More information on the PDP, complete with a downloadable copy can be found at https://www.support.racingwelfare.co.uk/app/answers/detail/a_id/126
