Match-Ups Announced for William Hill Stable Staff Boxing!
Racing Welfare has announced the match-ups for its William Hill Racing Staff Boxing Night at a special event, held on Monday night, at Manhatta in York.
The boxing night itself takes place at York Racecourse this Saturday 20th November and features a stellar cast hailing from the northern racing community.
Sponsored by William Hill, the boxing night will see 20 competitors from the racing industry pit their fighting prowess against each other, following eight weeks of intensive training delivered by Ultra White Collar Boxing. The list of boxers includes racing grooms, stud staff, racecourse employees and jockeys, all of whom are raising money for Racing Welfare as part of their participation.
The excitement amongst the boxers was building at the match-up event with Matty “The Bodysnatcher” Brown saying:
I’m feeling really good, positive. Really looking forward to it it’s going to be a good night. I’ve got friends and family coming so I can’t wait, it’ll be a great night. I’m from York so I’m really looking forward to fighting at the racecourse. I work at Brian Ellison’s, I’m a work rider. There’s a couple of us from Brian’s fighting so he’s got a table booked coming to watch as well so looking forward to it.
