What is Counselling?

Counselling is a safe, confidential space to talk about how you’re feeling and what’s on your mind. It’s about being listened to, supported, and helped to understand your thoughts and emotions. It can help you cope, gain perspective, and feel more in control.

What we offer?

Through our emotional support you can access in the moment telephone support from an accredited counsellor or get assessed for up to 6 sessions of brief focussed therapy.

Brief Focused Therapy is short-term, practical support to help you tackle specific challenges. It’s solution-focused, helping you understand what’s going on, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes. The therapists work at your pace, offering support tailored to the horseracing environment so you can feel more in control and supported.

To speak to a counsellor you can contact us on 0800 6300 442 and opt for Emotional Support or click here to book a callback.

If You Need More Specialist Support

Sometimes you might be experiencing more complex or long-term mental health difficulties that require specialist or ongoing care.

If brief therapy isn’t the right fit for you, you won’t be left to manage this alone. Our Welfare Officers will take the time to understand your situation and support you to access the most appropriate services — whether that’s through your GP, NHS services, crisis support, or other specialist organisations.

Our priority is making sure you get the right support at the right time.
