Racing Welfare warmly welcomes the publication of the Horseracing Industry People Board (IPB) workforce strategy and the spotlight it places on racing’s people as a priority, with an industry-wide approach for the very first time.

As the primary charity dedicated to the welfare of racing’s workforce, we are committed to supporting the individuals at the heart of the sport and view this strategy as a significant and positive milestone in that regard.

We look forward to working with the IPB on the development of a robust implementation plan to ensure that the strategy’s goals are brought to life effectively, cohesively, and inclusively. We are also eager to review the funding proposals, recognising that securing the necessary resources will be essential to the long-term success and sustainability of this vital work.
