4Racing donate £5,000 to Racing Welfare

On 4th July, 4Racing Owners Club visited Rebecca Menzies’ yard to give members a chance to see their horse Snowy Burrows – and in the process presented a cheque to Racing Welfare for £5,000.

Members were able to watch Snowy hack round the round gallop, before a guided tour of Howe Hills by Bex before making the cheque presentation to Racing Welfare Chief Executive Dawn Goodfellow.

I’ve just been lucky enough to have a lovely morning at Rebecca Menzies yard with 4Racing meeting all their lovely members and their horse Snowy Burrows.  A very friendly group of people who have raised an amazing £5000 for Racing Welfare. Thank you very much for your support which will help us to provide vital services for all of racing’s people.

The money was raised through members’ share payments, with any surplus funds after the horse’s expenses for the year going directly towards 4Racing’s charitable aims.

Founder and racing manager at 4Racing Graham Arnold said;

Not only is Rebecca Menzies a great trainer but what a host she was for our 4Racing Owners Club open day to see Snowy Burrows and the team. Our first year's charitable syndicate with Snowy not only gave our members the thrill of winning a race but has also raised £5,000 for Racing Welfare and £1,775 for Riders Minds. We are extremely proud of what the 4Racing Club is achieving and hope to be able to work with the charity moving forward.
