Brian currently works for Sir Michael Stoute first entered the industry in 1965 where he was an apprentice at Harvey Leader’s at Shalfleet. His next job saw him moving to Bob Smart and then a spell with Bernard van Cutsem. Four years with racecourse security services led to an stud season and an offer of the head lads role with Tony Hide, where Brian stayed for five years before moving to his current role at Stoute’s.
Brian rates his best horse that he looked after as the Breeders Cup and Champion Stakes winner Pilsudski, however his favourite charge is the one that features in the painting above his mantle piece. Daliapour and Brian travelled to Hong Kong, Melbourne and to the Curragh together where stunning victory and gallant defeat met the Aga Khan bred horse.
