In a strategic location between Racing Welfare Head Office in Park Lane, Newmarket and the Racing Welfare properties in Jack Jarvis Close, Crampton House was purchased in 2005 with the intention of developing an additional 5 x 2 bedroom retirement flats. It sits in 0.25 acres (approx) and comprised a 5 bed Victorian house of around 280 m2.
The property was in need of complete renovation or renewal.
After two years, in early 2008, planning approval was won for the development of Crampton House into 4 x 2 bedroom flats and 1 x 2 bedroom cottage. Work on the project began immediately and on completion, the building will be renamed Wilfred Sherman House.
